The Office of the Director of Audit conducted its first ever Self-Assessment of Integrity (IntoSAINT) workshop from February 3 - 5, 2020 at the Finance Administrative Centre, Point Seraphine.

IntoSAINT is a self-assessment tool developed to assist Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) to analyze their integrity risks and vulnerabilities and provides a framework that can be used to develop policies from recommendations made.

Ten officers within the different units, i.e., administration (secretariat and accounts) and technical were strategically selected to attend the workshop.

During the sessions, participants used the self-assessment tools to analyze the integrity risks of the Organization. Discussion topics included the Office's integrity perceptions and dilemmas, assessing inherent vulnerabilities and vulnerability enhancing factors, assessing the maturity level of the Integrity controlling/ management system and Gap Analysis.

The workshop was moderated by two trained facilitators, Mr. Gary Walters from the SAI's of Grenada, and Miss Gemma Thornil from SAI St. Lucia. Ms. Paola Romero - Gorrostieta and Mr. Francisco Pineda, from the SAI of Mexico also guided the participants through two of the assessments via skype.

On The final day of the workshop the facilitators presented the Director of Audit, Deputy Director of Audit and the Audit managers, with the results of the assessment.   This will enable top management to develop specific integrity policies for the Office.

The public will have the opportunity to see such results in the Director's annual audit report for 2019/2020 to be released later in the year.
